Brestová – Circular Hike from Zuberec

Zuberec → Prte → Horáreň Brestová → Zverovka → Pod Spálenou → Spálený žľab → Predný Salatín → Brestová → vrchol Zuberec → Pálenica → sedlo Pálenica → Zuberec.

This full-day circular hike starts and finishes in Zuberec. The route leads through the foothills of the Roháče Mountains towards Zverovka and Roháče – Spálená, where the main ascent begins through Spálený žľab. Passing mountain meadows, dwarf pine and the rocky ridge of Predný Salatín, the trail reaches Brestová, one of the most prominent panoramic peaks in the western part of the Western Tatras. The route then follows the main ridge via the peak of Zuberec and Pálenica to Pálenica Saddle before descending through Zadné Košariská and Ostrý Grúň back to Zuberec. The considerable distance and elevation gain make this hike suitable for fit and experienced hikers
